End-of-Life Care

Rest assured your loved one receives comfort, support, and compassionate care during their final days.

Receive dignified care and support.

Our goal is to manage symptoms, reduce pain, provide spiritual support, and ultimately improve quality of life.

All Dove Healthcare assisted living residences and skilled nursing facilities have partnerships with area hospice providers for those that choose additional support with disease management and end-of-life care. Visits by your spiritual or clergy leader are encouraged. We are committed to supporting you in any way we can during this difficult time.

Depending on the complexity of care needs at end-of-life, sometimes a person residing at a Dove Healthcare assisted living facility may need to transition to a nursing home for 24/7 skilled nursing support. Understanding assisted living regulations limit the scope of nursing services allowed, we will do everything we can to provide continuity of care.

If you are currently residing in your own home – with or without the support of a hospice agency – and you are considering a transition to a care facility, please start by contacting one of our nursing homes. Our admissions coordinator will address all of your questions and help you through the assessment and admission process. Learn more.

Reflections at Dove Healthcare - West Eau Claire

Reflections at Dove Healthcare - West Eau Claire is a distinct end-of-life care unit. Employees of Reflections receive advanced training in caring for terminally ill residents. In addition, our interdisciplinary team supports both residents and families with grief and bereavement counseling. To better accommodate your family, features include private rooms comfortably furnished to accommodate visiting guests; wireless internet; family lounge with complimentary refreshments; and a family guest suite available at no charge for extended visits.

Residents in Reflections have a physician diagnosis of a terminal, life-limiting illness with a prognosis of 12 months or less. An assessment is completed to determine eligibility for the unit. Prior to admission, we encourage you to begin completing advance directives, such as a living will, power of attorney for healthcare, and do not resuscitate (DNR) orders.
